hope house orphanage
Hope House Orphanage began in 2005 when Pastor Charles Mumba and his wife began taking local orphans into their home. The area of Ndola, Zambia, Africa had been stricken with an AIDS epidemic and has rendered many children orphans. Pastor Charles and his wife, Margaret, have a huge heart for these children and henceforth founded the Hope House Orphanage. With the help of sponsors and donors, Hope House has grown and continues to do so. They are able to get children off the streets and cloth, feed, and educate them.
hope house clinic
At Hope House Clinic, there is a full-time doctor and nurse on duty. The clinic is available to the orphanage as well as the local community and includes a fully stocked pharmacy.
Education
We support schools and teachers in rural areas, provide scholarships for children who cannot afford to go to school, and offer literacy and numeracy programs for children who have dropped out of school.
Gardening and agriculTURE
Hope House Orphanage has been blessed to begin gardening and farming. The children of the orphanage participate in the garden and the agriculture. They are learning how to produce their food and income.
Stories of hope
Kachabula Milambo was one of the first orphans at Hope House. After finishing at Hope Fellowship Community School, he continued his education at a trade school where he graduated as an electrician.
Hope Community News
Thanks to donations we are able to have Hope Ministries Zambia purchase material and hire a local seamstress to make uniforms for each student at Hope Fellowship Community School. For some of these children, it will be their only clothing.
